From the Gaithersburg City Hall, walk to the nearest bus stop located at 31 South Summit Avenue. Take the Ride On Bus Route 55 towards Shady Grove Metro Station. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the stop at Clopper Road & Great Seneca Highway. From there, transfer to Bus Route 57 towards Lakeforest Mall. Take the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop for Great Seneca Highway & Kingfisher Overlook. From the bus stop, walk about 5 minutes south down Great Seneca Highway until you reach the entrance of Kingfisher Overlook.

If you are comfortable biking, start from the Gaithersburg City Hall and head south on South Summit Avenue. Turn left onto East Diamond Avenue and then take a right on to Great Seneca Highway. Continue along Great Seneca Highway for approximately 2 miles. You will see Kingfisher Overlook on your right, just before the intersection with Clopper Road.

For those who prefer walking, start at the Gaithersburg City Hall and head towards South Summit Avenue. Walk south until you reach East Diamond Avenue and then turn left. Continue straight until you reach Great Seneca Highway. From there, turn right and walk for about 1.5 miles. Kingfisher Overlook will be on your right before you reach the intersection with Clopper Road.
