From Gaithersburg, walk to the Gaithersburg MARC train station located at 1 Railroad St, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. Board the Camden Line train towards Union Station. Get off at the Rockville station. Once at Rockville station, transfer to the Metro Red Line towards Glenmont. Travel to the Shady Grove station and change to the Metro's Red Line towards Silver Spring. Get off at the Silver Spring station. From there, take the Metrobus B30 towards the Dulles Airport. Disembark at the Manassas National Battlefield Park stop. Walk approximately 15 minutes to reach the entrance of the park at 6511 Sudley Rd, Manassas, VA 20109.

Start at the Gaithersburg City Hall bus stop located at 31 S Summit Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. Take the Ride On Bus Route 58 towards Glenmont. After about 45 minutes, get off at the last stop at the Glenmont Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Metro Red Line towards Shady Grove. Travel to the Manassas station. Once you arrive, you can catch a local bus or take a rideshare service to reach Manassas National Battlefield Park, which is only a few minutes away.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Gaithersburg. Start your journey by heading towards the Washington and Old Dominion Trail (W&OD Trail). Follow the trail heading west until you reach Route 28. Take a left onto Route 28 and continue until you reach the intersection with Sudley Rd. Turn right onto Sudley Rd, and continue for about 3 miles until you arrive at Manassas National Battlefield Park located at 6511 Sudley Rd, Manassas, VA 20109. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations.
