Walking
From the Harper's Ferry Visitor Center, head east on Potomac Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with High Street. Turn left onto High Street and follow it as it curves to the right, becoming Shenandoah Street. Keep walking straight until you reach the railroad tracks. Cross the tracks and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park entrance. At this point, you will need to take a shuttle or taxi to reach Ashburn Ice House, as it is located approximately 60 miles away. The shuttle service may require prior arrangements.

Public Transportation
From the Harpers Ferry train station, take a train towards Washington, D.C. Get off at the next stop, which is the Brunswick station. From there, look for a Loudoun County Transit bus heading towards Ashburn. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as the frequency may vary. Once you arrive in Ashburn, walk approximately 0.5 miles north on Smith Switch Road to reach the Ashburn Ice House.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Harper's Ferry. Begin your journey by heading south on the C&O Canal Towpath. Follow the path until you reach the intersection with Route 340. Carefully navigate to the nearest exit leading to Ashburn, which will require a combination of roads and pathways. Utilize bike lanes wherever available. Once in Ashburn, follow Smith Switch Road until you find the Ashburn Ice House at 21595 Smith Switch Rd.
