Public Transit
Start at the Gaithersburg Metro Station (located at 100 South Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD). From there, take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Get off at the Glenmont Station (approximately a 25-minute ride). Once at Glenmont, transfer to the Ride On bus Route 29 (towards the Glen Echo Park). The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Disembark at the 'Oxford Road & MacArthur Blvd' stop. From there, walk approximately 0.3 miles (about a 6-minute walk) west along Oxford Road to reach Clara Barton National Historic Site, located at 5801 Oxford Rd, Glen Echo, MD.

If you are already in downtown Gaithersburg, start at the City Hall (31 South Summit Avenue). Walk south on South Summit Avenue towards East Diamond Avenue. Continue on East Diamond Avenue until you reach the Gaithersburg Metro Station. Follow the instructions above to take the Metro Red Line to Glenmont and then the Ride On bus Route 29 to reach Clara Barton National Historic Site.
