Bus
From Laurel, head to the Laurel Town Center and locate the bus stop for the Metrobus routes. Take the Metrobus Route 89 towards Greenbelt Station. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Silver Spring Transit Center. At Silver Spring Transit Center, transfer to the Metrobus Route S9 towards the National Zoo. Stay on this bus for about 25 minutes, and it will take you directly to the National Zoo stop. The Smithsonian National Zoological Park is just a short walk from the bus stop.
