Getting There

  • Metro

    From Silver Spring Metro Station, take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Travel for 3 stops and get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. At Gallery Place-Chinatown, transfer to the Yellow Line towards Huntington. Travel for 3 stops and get off at the Pentagon station. From the Pentagon station, exit the station and follow the signs to the Pentagon bus terminal. Take the Arlington Cemetery Shuttle bus, which will drop you off at the Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center.

    From the Silver Spring Transit Center, take the Metrobus Route 15 towards the Pentagon. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the Arlington National Cemetery. After exiting the bus, follow the signs toward the Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

  • Walking

    If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can start from the Silver Spring Metro Station. Head south on Georgia Avenue toward Bonifant Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Colesville Road (US-29). From there, turn left onto Colesville Road and continue walking until you reach the intersection with the Capital Beltway (I-495). Cross the road carefully and continue on the path that leads towards Arlington. This route is quite long (approximately 4 miles) and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
