Getting There

  • Metro

    Start at the Silver Spring Metro Station on the Red Line. Board a train heading towards Glenmont. Travel for 3 stops, approximately 10 minutes, and get off at the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station. After exiting the station, follow the signs to the bus terminal.

  • Bus

    At the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station, board the Ride On Bus # 34 or # 36 towards the Rockville Station. The bus will take you along Old Georgetown Road. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop for 11410 Old Georgetown Rd. Walk a short distance to the Josiah Henson Museum & Park, which will be on your right.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk from the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station, exit the station and head northwest on Rockville Pike (MD-355). Continue walking for about 0.5 miles (approximately 10-15 minutes). Turn left onto Old Georgetown Road, and the Josiah Henson Museum & Park will be on your left at 11410 Old Georgetown Rd.
