If you're traveling by car, the Deep Creek Lake Discovery Center is located at 898 State Park Rd, Swanton, MD 21561. From the center of Oakland, MD (approximately 10 miles away), take MD-135 N for about 2 miles, then turn left onto MD-219 N. Continue on MD-219 N for about 5 miles, then take a right onto State Park Rd. The Discovery Center will be on your left after about 1 mile. There is no entrance fee to access the Discovery Center.
