Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by navigating toward I-93 North. Take exit 20 for the South Station/Boston Common area. Merge onto Atlantic Avenue and keep right to continue on Purchase Street. Follow the signs for Boston Common. There is limited metered street parking available, which costs $1.25 per hour, or you can park in nearby garages, such as the Boston Common Garage located at 0 Charles Street, which charges approximately $12 for up to 3 hours.

• Public Transportation - Subway

  To reach Boston Common via the subway, find your way to a nearby MBTA station. If you are close to the Green Line, board an 'E' train towards Heath Street and get off at the Copley Station. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes down Boylston Street until you reach the park. Alternatively, if you are on the Red Line, take a train towards Alewife and transfer at Park Street station, which is right next to Boston Common. The subway fare is $2.40 for a one-way trip.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  If you prefer to take the bus, look for MBTA bus routes that connect to Boston Common. Routes 43 and 47 have stops nearby. Check the MBTA website for the nearest bus stop and schedule. A one-way fare for the bus is also $2.40. Once you get off the bus, follow signs to Boston Common, which is just a short walk away.

• Walking

  If you're already in downtown Boston, Boston Common is easily accessible by walking. It is located at 139 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02111. Just head towards Tremont Street, and you will find the entrance to the park. It's a popular area, so there are plenty of signs to guide you. This route is ideal for enjoying the city atmosphere and taking in the sights along the way.
