If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto MA-6 E (the Mid-Cape Highway). From any location within Barnstable County, follow signs for Route 6 towards Wellfleet. Once on Route 6, take exit 11 for MA-6A toward Wellfleet. Continue on MA-6A for about 5 miles until you reach Chequessett Neck Road. Turn left onto Chequessett Neck Road. After approximately 1 mile, you will find the Great Island Trail parking area on your left, just before the address 1440 Chequessett Neck Rd.
