Ferry
To reach the Nantucket Atheneum at 1 India St, Nantucket, MA, you will first need to take a ferry from Barnstable to Nantucket. Head to the Hyannis ferry terminal located at 220 Ocean St, Hyannis, MA. You can take a local bus or a taxi to get there from your current location in Barnstable. Once at the ferry terminal, purchase your ticket for the ferry to Nantucket. The ferry ride takes about 1 hour. Upon arriving in Nantucket, disembark and head towards India St. The Nantucket Atheneum is located just a short walk from the ferry terminal; head northwest on Broad St, then turn right onto India St. The Atheneum will be on your left.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus from Barnstable to Hyannis. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop to your location in Barnstable that services the route to Hyannis. The bus will take you to the Hyannis ferry terminal. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, follow the instructions for taking the ferry to Nantucket. Upon arrival in Nantucket, walk northwest on Broad St and then turn right onto India St to find the Nantucket Atheneum at 1 India St.
