If you are starting from Barnstable Village, walk to the Barnstable Village Bus Stop located at 200 Main Street. Catch the Peter Pan Bus service heading towards Hyannis. From Hyannis, transfer to the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus route 1 that goes towards Edgartown. Stay on the bus until you reach the Edgartown stop. From there, South Beach is approximately a 15-minute walk. Head south on Main Street, turn left onto Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road, and continue until you reach South Beach.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike at one of the local rental shops in Barnstable. Start by heading south on Main Street towards the Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road. Follow Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road for approximately 5 miles. Once you reach Edgartown, follow the signs to South Beach. The route is mostly flat and offers scenic views of the area.
