    Getting There

    Subway

    If you are starting from downtown Boston, make your way to the Park Street Station. Take the Red Line train towards Alewife. Stay on the train for about 10 minutes until you reach the Alewife stop. Once you arrive at Alewife station, exit the train and follow the signs to Harvard Square which is about a 5-minute walk. Head north on Massachusetts Ave toward Harvard Yard, and you will find Harvard Square right in front of you.

    Bus

    From downtown Boston, locate the nearest bus stop for the #47 or #66 bus routes. Board the bus and head towards Alewife Station. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach Alewife Station, get off the bus and walk about 5 minutes towards Harvard Square, heading north on Massachusetts Ave.

    Walking

    If you are near the Charles River, you can enjoy a scenic walk towards Harvard Square. Start at the Esplanade and walk along the river heading northwest. Continue walking until you reach the John W. Weeks Bridge, cross over to the other side, and then walk straight on Memorial Drive. After about 30 minutes, you will reach Harvard Square, which will be on your left.

    Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride along the Charles River bike path. Start at any point along the river and head towards the north-facing path that leads to the Harvard Bridge. Cross the bridge, and once you’re in Cambridge, follow the signs for Massachusetts Ave. Continue riding until you reach Harvard Square. The entire ride should take about 20-25 minutes depending on your speed.
