Exploring the Historic Old West Church

Getting There

• Subway

  If you're starting from Boston's Downtown Crossing, head to the Downtown Crossing subway station and take the Red Line towards Alewife. Get off at the Park Street station, then transfer to the Green Line (C or E branch) and get off at the Government Center station. From there, walk northwest on Cambridge Street for about 5 minutes, and you will see the Old West Church at 131 Cambridge St.

• Bus

  From the Boston Common, walk to the bus stop at Tremont St opp Park St. Take the #47 bus towards the Alewife station. Get off at the Cambridge St @ Joy St stop. Walk a short distance northwest on Cambridge Street for about 2 minutes, and you will arrive at the Old West Church.

• Walking

  If you are near the Boston Public Garden, you can walk to the Old West Church. Head northeast on Charles Street toward Beacon Street, then turn left onto Beacon Street. Follow Beacon Street until you reach Cambridge Street. Turn right onto Cambridge Street, and continue straight for about 10 minutes until you arrive at 131 Cambridge St.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct method, you can use a taxi or a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Simply enter 'Old West Church, 131 Cambridge St, Boston, MA 02114' as your destination, and the driver will take you there directly. This is a convenient option if you are traveling with luggage or prefer not to navigate public transport.
