Walking
If you are in the Fenway-Kenmore area, the Judson B. Coit Observatory is easily accessible by foot. Start by heading towards Commonwealth Avenue. The observatory is located at 685 Commonwealth Ave. From the intersection of Brookline Ave and Commonwealth Ave, walk west along Commonwealth Ave for about 0.2 miles. The observatory will be on your right side, just past the intersection with St. Mary's St. Look for the building with the 'Coit Observatory' sign.

Public Transit - Bus
For those who prefer public transit, you can take the MBTA bus. Look for the #47 bus at any nearby bus stop along Commonwealth Avenue. Board the bus heading towards 'Ashmont'. It’s a short ride of about 5 minutes. Disembark at the 'B.U. Central' stop, which is the closest stop to the observatory. From there, walk east on Commonwealth Ave for about 0.1 miles to reach the observatory. The fare for the bus is $1.70, payable via CharlieCard or cash.

Public Transit - Subway
You can also use the subway to reach the observatory. Head to the nearest T station, which is the Kenmore Station on the Green Line. Take the 'B' branch towards 'Government Center' and get off at the 'B.U. Central' stop. This stop is just a short walk away from the observatory. Exit the station and walk east on Commonwealth Ave for about 0.1 miles. The observatory will be on your right. The subway fare is also $2.40, which can be paid using a CharlieCard or cash.
