Public Transit
From Brockton, head to the Brockton MBTA Station, located at 1 Holyoke Street. Take the MBTA commuter rail on the Middleborough/Lakeville Line towards Boston. The train ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Disembark at South Station in Boston. Once you exit South Station, walk towards the Tremont Street exit. From there, head north on Tremont Street for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at Boston Common, located at 139 Tremont Street.
Bus
To get to Boston Common by bus, start at the Brockton Bus Terminal, located at 1-3 Main Street. Board the GATRA bus #12 towards the Ashland MBTA Station. This ride will take around 30 minutes. At Ashland, transfer to the MBTA train on the Framingham/Worcester Line heading to Boston. Get off at the South Station stop. After exiting South Station, walk north on Tremont Street for approximately 0.5 miles to reach Boston Common at 139 Tremont Street.
Walking
If you find yourself near downtown Brockton, you can enjoy a scenic walk to the Boston MBTA station. Start at the Brockton City Hall and head east on Main Street towards the Brockton MBTA Station. It's about a 15-minute walk. Once at the station, take the Middleborough/Lakeville Line train towards Boston. After arriving at South Station, exit and walk north on Tremont Street for about 0.5 miles to reach Boston Common, located at 139 Tremont Street.
