Car
If you're driving to the Nantucket Shipwreck and Life Saving Museum, start by getting to the ferry terminal in Hyannis. Take the Steamship Authority ferry to Nantucket. Once you arrive at the Nantucket ferry terminal, head east on Straight Wharf. Continue on this road, which becomes Easton Street. Stay on Easton Street until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto Polpis Road. The museum will be on your left at 158 Polpis Rd. Look for the large sign indicating the museum.
Public Transportation
To visit the Nantucket Shipwreck and Life Saving Museum using public transportation, first take a bus or shuttle to Hyannis, where you can catch the Steamship Authority ferry to Nantucket. Once you arrive at the Nantucket ferry terminal, check for local bus services or taxis that can take you to the museum. If you choose the bus, board the 'NRTA' bus from the terminal and ask the driver to let you know when you reach Polpis Road. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop on Polpis Road.
