Car
If you are driving from Worcester, take I-290 E towards I-495/Nashua. Merge onto I-495 N and then take the exit onto I-90 E/Massachusetts Turnpike towards Boston. Follow I-90 E for about 30 miles and take exit 18 for Cambridge. Merge onto Fresh Pond Parkway and follow signs for Alewife. Continue onto Alewife Brook Parkway, then turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Cambridge Common will be on your right at the intersection of Waterhouse St & Massachusetts Ave.
Public Transportation
To reach Cambridge Common via public transportation from Worcester, start by taking the MBTA train from Worcester Union Station on the MBTA's Worcester Line. Get off at South Station in Boston. From South Station, transfer to the Red Line 'Ashmont/Braintree' train towards Alewife. Get off at Alewife Station. Exit the station and take the #47 bus towards Alewife Station. Get off at the stop at Massachusetts Ave near Waterhouse Street. Walk two blocks south, and you will arrive at Cambridge Common.
Car
If you are coming from Fitchburg, take MA-2 E towards Boston. Merge onto I-190 S, then take I-290 E towards I-495. Continue on I-290 E, and merge onto I-90 E. Follow I-90 E and take exit 18 for Cambridge. Merge onto Fresh Pond Parkway, then turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Cambridge Common is on your right at the intersection of Waterhouse St & Massachusetts Ave.
Public Transportation
If you are starting in Leominster, take the MBTA train from the Leominster station on the Fitchburg Line to North Station in Boston. From North Station, transfer to the Green Line 'C' train towards Riverside. Get off at Kenmore station and transfer to the B Line towards Boston College. Get off at the stop at Massachusetts Ave & Waterhouse St. Walk a short distance to arrive at Cambridge Common.
