    Public Transit - Bus

    If you're in downtown Gloucester, make your way to the nearest bus stop. Board the MBTA bus route 441 or 442 heading toward the Alewife Station. You will need to transfer at Alewife Station to the Red Line subway heading toward Ashmont. Get off at Park Street Station and transfer to the Green Line (C or D branch) toward Kenmore. Alight at the Kenmore Station. From there, it's a short walk to Boston University. Head east on Commonwealth Avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach your destination.

    Public Transit - Train

    From Gloucester, take the MBTA commuter rail train on the Rockport Line heading toward North Station. Get off at the North Station stop. Once you arrive, transfer to the Green Line (C or D branch) at the Government Center Station. Ride the train toward Kenmore. Disembark at Kenmore Station, and from there, walk east along Commonwealth Avenue for about 10 minutes to reach Boston University.

    If you are already near the downtown area of Gloucester, you can simply walk to the nearest bus stop and take a local bus as described above. However, walking directly to Boston University from Gloucester is not feasible, as it is approximately 40 miles away. It's best to use public transit for this journey.
