Turn left onto Washington Street and follow it until you reach the waterfront. From there, you can follow the signs directing you towards the ferry terminal, which will lead you to the public transportation options that can take you to Boston.

    Public Bus

    From any location in Gloucester, find your way to the nearest bus stop. You can take the 451 or 455 bus towards the North Station in Boston. Once you arrive at North Station, exit the bus and walk towards the Government Center subway station. Take the Green Line towards Park Street and transfer to the Red Line towards Ashmont. Get off at South Station and transfer to the Silver Line bus, which will take you to the waterfront area near Atlantic Avenue.
