Car
If you're traveling by car, you can use GPS to navigate directly to Hatch Memorial Shell at 47 David G Mugar Way, Boston, MA 02108. From major highways, take I-93 to exit 20 for Storrow Drive. Continue on Storrow Drive and follow signs for Back Bay. Exit onto Charles Street, and then take a right onto Beacon Street. Continue straight until you reach the entrance to the Hatch Memorial Shell. There is limited street parking available nearby, and some paid parking lots in the area. Be mindful of parking signs to avoid fines.
Public Transportation - Subway
To reach Hatch Memorial Shell via the MBTA subway, take the Green Line (C or D) to the 'Arlington' station. From the station, walk east on Boylston Street until you reach the Boston Common. Enter the Common and follow the paths leading to the Charles River. The Shell is located at the riverbank within the park area. This trip costs $2.40 with a CharlieCard or $2.90 with a CharlieTicket.
Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer to take the bus, you can board bus routes 47 or 55, which will take you to the 'Charles/MGH' station. From there, walk towards the Charles River and follow the paths to reach Hatch Memorial Shell. The bus fare is $1.70 with a CharlieCard or $2.00 with a CharlieTicket.
Walking
If you are already near Boston Common or Beacon Hill, you can easily walk to Hatch Memorial Shell. From Boston Common, head toward the Charles River Esplanade. It’s a pleasant walk along the pathways, taking about 15-20 minutes. Follow the signs to the waterfront to find the Shell.
