Bus
From Hyannis, head to the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus stop on Main Street. Take the 'Route 1 - Hyannis to Woods Hole' bus. Inform the driver you want to get off at Edgartown. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Edgartown, head south on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road. Turn left and follow the road for about 1 mile. South Beach will be on your right.
Bicycle
If you’re feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle in Hyannis. Start from Main Street and take the bike path along Route 28 heading east. Continue straight until you reach the fork at Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road. Take the left fork and follow the road for about 4 miles. You’ll arrive at South Beach, where you can park your bike and enjoy the beach.
Ferry
Walk to the Hyannis Ferry Terminal located on Ocean Street. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Edgartown, which takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Edgartown, exit the ferry and walk south on Main Street. Continue until you reach Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road, then turn left. South Beach will be approximately 1 mile ahead on your right.
