Getting There

  • Bus

    Take the MBTA Bus #67 from the Lowell Connector bus stop at the Gallagher Terminal. The bus runs every 30 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes and disembark at the Lexington Battle Green stop. From there, walk 5 minutes east on Massachusetts Ave to arrive at Lexington Battle Green.

  • Train

    From the Lowell Train Station, take the MBTA Commuter Rail towards Fitchburg Line. Transfer at Alewife Station to the Alewife to Alewife route, then take the 62/76 bus towards Lexington. Get off at the Massachusetts Ave/Marrett Rd stop. Walk 10 minutes south on Massachusetts Ave directly to Lexington Battle Green.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop in Lowell. Follow the Merrimack River Trail heading northwest, then connect to the Minuteman Bikeway in Bedford. Continue on the bikeway until you reach Massachusetts Ave in Lexington. The ride takes about 50 minutes depending on your pace. Once you reach Massachusetts Ave, the Lexington Battle Green will be a short ride away.

  • Walking

    If you are feeling adventurous and would like to walk, start from Lowell City Hall located at 375 Merrimack St. Walk north on Merrimack St towards the intersection with Dutton St. Turn right on Dutton St and continue straight until you reach the Alewife River. Follow the river trail which leads you towards Lexington. It's a long walk of about 1.5 hours, but you will enjoy the scenic views.
