Bus
From Lowell, head to the Lowell Transit Center located at 200 Wright Street. Take the MBTA bus route 350 towards North Chelmsford. Once you reach the North Chelmsford stop, transfer to the MBTA commuter rail on the Lowell Line heading towards Boston. Get off at the Salem station. From there, you can either walk to Misery Islands (approximately 1.5 miles) or take a local taxi or rideshare service.
Train
Make your way to the Lowell Commuter Rail Station at 25 Thorndike Street. Board the MBTA train on the Lowell Line heading towards Boston. After about 30 minutes, disembark at the Salem station. From the Salem station, Misery Islands is about 1.5 miles away. You can either walk along the scenic route or catch a local taxi or rideshare for convenience.
Walking
If you're already in Salem, you can walk to Misery Islands from the Salem Common. Head northeast on Washington Square toward Essex Street. Turn left onto Essex Street, then continue straight onto Fort Avenue. Follow Fort Avenue until you reach the Salem Willows Park. From there, look for signage or paths leading towards the Misery Islands ferry terminal. The walk should take about 30-40 minutes.
