Start at the main bus terminal located in Vineyard Haven. Board the VTA (Vineyard Transit Authority) bus heading towards Chilmark. Make sure to check the schedule for the specific route, as buses may not run frequently. After boarding, enjoy the scenic ride through the island, and stay on the bus until you reach the 'Chilmark' stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to Menemsha Hills.
Walking
Once you arrive at the Chilmark bus stop, head west on State Road (MA-102). After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto North Road. Continue on North Road for approximately 1 mile, then turn right onto Trustees Lane. Menemsha Hills will be on your left, and you will see signs directing you to the entrance.
Biking
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. Head towards State Road (MA-102) and follow the same route as the bus and walking directions. The bike ride will take you through some beautiful landscapes, so enjoy the ride! Once you reach the Chilmark area, follow the same path as described for walking.
