From Oak Bluffs, head to the nearest bus stop and take the VTA (Vineyard Transit Authority) bus route 1 towards Vineyard Haven. The bus will take you directly to Vineyard Haven. Once you arrive at the Vineyard Haven bus terminal, exit the bus and walk towards Main Street. Continue straight on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Beach Road. Turn left onto Beach Road and walk until you reach the intersection with State Road. Cross over State Road and you will see the entrance to Cedar Tree Neck Sanctuary ahead.
Bicycle
Start in Oak Bluffs and rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. From Oak Bluffs, head west on the bike path towards Vineyard Haven. Follow the bike path which runs parallel to State Road. As you approach Vineyard Haven, take a left onto Beach Road. Continue on Beach Road until you reach the intersection with State Road, then cross over and look for the Cedar Tree Neck Sanctuary entrance. This bike ride should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
Walking
If you’re starting in Vineyard Haven, you can easily walk to Cedar Tree Neck Sanctuary. Begin at the Vineyard Haven ferry terminal and head south on Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach Beach Road. Turn left onto Beach Road and walk straight until you reach State Road. At State Road, cross the street and you will find the entrance to Cedar Tree Neck Sanctuary. This walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
