Walking
If you are in Vineyard Haven, start your journey at the Vineyard Haven Ferry Terminal. Head northeast on Lake Street towards Main Street. Continue straight onto Main Street, then take a right onto State Road. Follow State Road for about 1.5 miles until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork onto Lambert's Cove Road. Continue straight for approximately 1 mile. Lambert's Cove Beach will be on your left at 281 Lambert's Cove Rd. Look for the beach access path leading to the sandy shore.
Public Transportation
From Oak Bluffs or Edgartown, take the VTA (Vineyard Transit Authority) bus to Vineyard Haven. Disembark at the Vineyard Haven Stop on Main Street. Walk northeast on Lake Street towards Main Street. Continue straight onto Main Street, then take a right onto State Road. Walk for about 1.5 miles until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork onto Lambert's Cove Road and walk for approximately 1 mile. Lambert's Cove Beach will be on your left at 281 Lambert's Cove Rd. Follow the signs to the beach access.
Biking
If you're in Vineyard Haven, start at the Vineyard Haven Ferry Terminal. Rent a bike from a local shop if you don’t have one. Cycle northeast on Lake Street and turn right onto Main Street. Continue onto State Road and bike for about 1.5 miles. At the fork in the road, take the left onto Lambert's Cove Road. Continue biking for about 1 mile, and you will see Lambert's Cove Beach on your left at 281 Lambert's Cove Rd. Enjoy the scenic ride and be cautious of pedestrians.
