Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Edgartown center, walk towards Main Street and head southwest towards the Edgartown Lighthouse. Continue past the lighthouse, following the path along the water until you reach the intersection with North Water Street. Turn left onto North Water Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Barnes Road. Turn right onto Barnes Road, and you will find the entrance to Manuel F. Correllus State Forest on your left.

    From Oak Bluffs, head west on Circuit Avenue towards the Oak Bluffs ferry terminal. Once you reach the terminal, continue onto Beach Road heading towards Edgartown. After about 2 miles, turn left onto Barnes Road. The entrance to Manuel F. Correllus State Forest will be on your right. Make sure to follow the bike lanes where available for a safer ride.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Vineyard Haven, take the VTA bus (Route 1) towards Edgartown. The bus will make stops along the way, and you should get off at the Barnes Road stop. Once you disembark, walk down Barnes Road for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at the entrance of Manuel F. Correllus State Forest on your left side.
