Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Lowell, MA, take I-495 South to I-93 South. Continue on I-93 South for about 20 miles. Take exit 26 toward Storrow Drive. Merge onto Storrow Drive and follow the signs for Cambridge. Continue on Storrow Drive until you reach the exit for Fresh Pond Parkway. Merge onto Fresh Pond Parkway, then take a left onto Alewife Brook Parkway. Finally, turn right onto Main Street, and you will find the MIT Museum at 314 Main St, Cambridge, MA 02142, on your left.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take the MBTA commuter rail from any station in Middlesex County to North Station in Boston. From North Station, transfer to the Orange Line subway and head towards Oak Grove. Get off at Haymarket station and transfer to the Green Line (C or D branch) towards Riverside. Get off at Kenmore station and transfer to the 47 bus towards Alewife. Get off at the stop at Main St @ Vassar St, and the MIT Museum will be just a short walk down Main St to 314 Main St, Cambridge, MA 02142.

  • Car

    If you are driving from Framingham, MA, take I-90 East (Massachusetts Turnpike) towards Boston. After about 20 miles, take exit 18 for Cambridge. Keep left at the fork and merge onto Fresh Pond Parkway. Continue straight onto Alewife Brook Parkway, then turn right onto Main Street. The MIT Museum will be located at 314 Main St, Cambridge, MA 02142, on your left.
