Car
From Mohawk Trail, head southeast on MA-2 E for approximately 10 miles. Take the exit for MA-63 S toward Greenfield. Continue on MA-63 S for about 8 miles until you reach the intersection with Montague Rd. Turn left onto Montague Rd and drive for about 4 miles. Wendell State Forest will be on your right at 392 Montague Rd, Wendell, MA 01379. There is no entry fee for the forest.

If you're using public transportation, take the Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA) bus service from your location in Mohawk Trail to Greenfield. Once in Greenfield, transfer to the FRTA bus route that heads towards Wendell. The nearest stop to Wendell State Forest is on Montague Rd. From the bus stop, it is a 15-minute walk (about 0.7 miles) to the forest entrance located at 392 Montague Rd, Wendell, MA 01379. Check the FRTA schedule for any potential fares and route times.
