Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start on Mohawk Trail (Route 2) and head west. Continue on Route 2 for about 10 miles until you reach the junction with River Road. Take a left onto River Road. After approximately 2 miles, you will arrive at Zoar Gap, which is located along the road. Look for parking options along River Road, as there may be designated areas for visitors.

• Public Transportation

  Using public transportation is a bit challenging as there are limited options in the area. You can take a bus from the nearby town of Greenfield to Shelburne Falls. From Shelburne Falls, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Zoar Gap, which is about 4 miles away. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may not run frequently.

• Bicycling

  For those who are adventurous and enjoy biking, you can bike from Shelburne Falls. Head west on Route 2 and then turn left onto River Road. The ride is approximately 4 miles and offers scenic views of the surrounding area. Remember to wear a helmet and follow local biking regulations. There are no rental services in the immediate vicinity, so you will need to bring your own bike.

• Walking/Hiking

  If you are already in the vicinity and enjoy hiking, you can take a leisurely walk along River Road from nearby areas. The walk can be a great way to enjoy the natural scenery. Just remember to plan your route, as some sections may not have sidewalks. Ensure you have appropriate footwear and bring water, especially on warmer days.
