Walk for about 0.7 miles, and you will arrive at Joseph Sylvia State Beach, located at 267-125 Seaview Ave. The beach will be on your right.

For those with a bicycle, start from Edgartown center and take Main Street south. As you approach the Edgartown Lighthouse, turn left onto Seaview Avenue. The bike path runs alongside the road, making it easy to follow. Catch the local bus service, the 'Dukes County Transit Authority' (also known as the VTA), at the nearest bus stop in Edgartown center. Board the bus heading towards Oak Bluffs. Ask the driver to let you off at the Seaview Avenue stop. From there, it's just a short walk of about 0.2 miles down Seaview Avenue to reach Joseph Sylvia State Beach at 267-125 Seaview Ave.
