Bus
From the center of New Bedford, head to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of Union Street and Purchase Street. Board the RIPTA bus #60 heading towards Newport. The bus will take you directly to Newport. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the stop on Bellevue Avenue. Once you disembark, walk along Bellevue Avenue for about 5 minutes, and you will find Chateau-sur-Mer at 474 Bellevue Ave on your right.

Start at the New Bedford Whaling Museum located at 18 Johnny Cake Hill. Rent a bike from a local rental shop or a bike-sharing service. Head south on Johnny Cake Hill, then turn right onto Acushnet Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront. Follow the bike path along the shoreline and take the scenic route through Fort Adams State Park. This will lead you towards Newport. Once you reach Bellevue Avenue, turn left and continue for about 10 minutes until you arrive at Chateau-sur-Mer, located at 474 Bellevue Ave.

Follow the path along the harbor until you reach the ferry terminal. From there, you can take the ferry to Newport (check schedule for ferry times). Once in Newport, walk along the waterfront until you reach Bellevue Avenue. Continue walking on Bellevue Avenue for about 15-20 minutes, and Chateau-sur-Mer will be on your left at 474 Bellevue Ave.
