From the center of New Bedford, walk to the nearest bus stop on Union Street. Take the Peter Pan Bus Lines to Newport, which departs regularly from the terminal. Once you arrive in Newport, walk to the bus stop at Farewell Street. Catch the local bus (Rhode Island Public Transit Authority - RIPTA) Route 67 towards 'Easton's Beach' and get off at the stop closest to Memorial Boulevard. From there, it’s a short walk to Easton’s Beach at 175 Memorial Blvd.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from a local rental shop in New Bedford. Head south on County Street and follow it until you reach the shore. Then, take the scenic route along the waterfront until you reach the ferry terminal in New Bedford. You can take a ferry to Newport. Once you arrive in Newport, follow the bike lanes on Memorial Boulevard directly to Easton's Beach.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can take a long walk along the coastline. Starting from the New Bedford waterfront, walk along the shore towards the south. This is a lengthy walk, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Follow the coastline until you reach Newport, and then follow the signs to Easton's Beach on Memorial Boulevard. It’s a beautiful route but can take a few hours.
