From downtown New Bedford, walk to the nearest bus stop on Purchase Street near the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Take the 'Peter Pan Bus Lines' that heads towards Newport, RI. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Newport Bus Terminal, exit the terminal and head to the nearest bus stop to catch the local 'RIPTA' bus #67 towards 'Easton’s Beach'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop for 'Perry Street'. Walk a short 5-minute distance to 70 Perry St, where the Isaac Bell House is located.

From New Bedford, walk to the ferry terminal located at 4 Fisherman’s Wharf. Board the 'Seastreak Ferry' to Newport, which takes approximately one hour. Enjoy the scenic views during the ride! Once you arrive at the Newport terminal, exit and walk towards the bus stop at the terminal. Catch the local 'RIPTA' bus #67 towards 'Easton’s Beach' and get off at the 'Perry Street' stop. The Isaac Bell House is a 5-minute walk from there, located at 70 Perry St.

If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in New Bedford. From the downtown area, head towards the Acushnet Avenue and follow the signs to Route 195 East. Take the bike lane and continue to the Sakonnet River Bridge. Cross the bridge into Rhode Island, where you will merge onto Route 24. Follow the road until you reach Newport. Once you are in Newport, use local bike paths to reach Perry Street. The Isaac Bell House is located at 70 Perry St.
