Walking
If you are in downtown New Bedford, start by heading towards the New Bedford Whaling Museum located at 18 Johnny Cake Hill. From the museum, head east on Johnny Cake Hill until you reach the intersection with Union Street. Turn left onto Union Street and walk until you reach the intersection with S Main Street. Turn right onto S Main Street and continue walking for about 1.5 miles. Memorial Park will be on your left, just past the intersection with Park Street. The park is a prominent green space and should be easy to spot.

Public Transit (Bus)
Begin at the New Bedford Bus Terminal located at 134 Union St. Take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus #60 towards Providence. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop on S Main Street, near the intersection with Park Street. From there, Memorial Park is a short walk to the north. Head south on S Main Street, and you will see the park entrance on your left.

Start at the New Bedford Marina and follow the bike path along the waterfront heading north towards the city center.
