To reach Phillips House at 34 Chestnut St, Salem, MA 01970 from Newburyport, start by getting onto MA-113 W from Newburyport. Follow MA-113 W for about 4 miles until you reach I-95 S. Merge onto I-95 S and continue for approximately 16 miles. Take exit 44 toward MA-114 E/Salem. Merge onto MA-114 E and follow the signs to Salem. Once in Salem, continue on MA-114 E (also known as Essex St) for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Chestnut St, and the Phillips House will be on your right at 34 Chestnut St.

Public Transportation
To get to Phillips House using public transportation, start at the Newburyport MBTA station. Take the MBTA train on the Newburyport/Rockport Line towards North Station. Get off at Salem Station. From there, you can either take a local bus (Route 450) towards North Salem and get off at the Chestnut St stop, or you can walk. If walking, head west on Washington St, turn right onto Essex St, and then left onto Chestnut St. The Phillips House will be located at 34 Chestnut St, approximately 1 mile from the Salem Station.
