Getting There

Walking
From the center of Provincetown, head east on Commercial Street towards the Provincetown Town Hall. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Shank Painter Road. Turn left onto Shank Painter Road and continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 6. At this point, you can choose to catch a local shuttle bus (P-Town Shuttle) that goes to Eastham. The shuttle will take you directly to the beach area. Get off at the Coast Guard Beach stop.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride along the scenic Route 6. Start from Commercial Street in Provincetown, head east towards Shank Painter Road, then turn left onto Shank Painter Road. Continue until you reach Route 6, where you will turn right. Follow Route 6 for approximately 8 miles, enjoying the beautiful views along the way. Look for signs directing you to Coast Guard Beach.
