From the center of Provincetown, head northwest on Commercial Street towards Bradford Street. Continue on Commercial Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Standish Street. Turn left onto Standish Street and walk for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 6. Cross the street carefully and follow the signs for Race Point Beach. Once at Race Point Beach, continue walking along the beach path for approximately 1 mile, keeping the ocean on your left. You will see signs directing you towards the Race Point Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at the end of the path.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, start from the center of Provincetown and head northwest on Commercial Street. Continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach Bradford Street. Turn left onto Bradford Street, which will turn into Route 6. Follow Route 6 for about 1.5 miles until you see the signs for Race Point Beach. Turn right into the beach parking area, and then follow the bike path leading to the Race Point Lighthouse, which is about 1 mile from the beach entrance.
Public Transit
While there is no direct public transit route to Race Point Lighthouse, you can take the local shuttle bus, known as the 'P-Town Shuttle,' from the center of Provincetown. Board the shuttle at the Town Hall stop and ask the driver to drop you off at the Race Point Beach stop. From there, it's a short walk along the beach path for about 1 mile to reach the lighthouse.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a quicker option, you can use a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride to 'Race Point Lighthouse' or 'Race Point Beach.' The driver will take you directly to the beach entrance, where you can then follow the walking path for approximately 1 mile to reach the lighthouse.
