Getting There

• Public Transportation

  To reach Boston Harbor Islands State Park from downtown Quincy, take the MBTA Red Line subway from Quincy Center Station towards Ashmont. Ride for 3 stops and get off at North Quincy Station. Transfer to the Braintree Branch of the Red Line and continue for 2 stops to Braintree Station. From Braintree Station, take the 220 bus towards Hull. Get off at the Hull Town Hall stop. From there, walk east on Main Street toward the waterfront. The entrance to Boston Harbor Islands State Park is at the end of the street, along the shoreline.

• Walking

  If you are already near the waterfront in Quincy, head towards the Quincy Marina. Walk along the waterfront path heading southeast towards Hull. Follow the shoreline; you will eventually reach the entrance to Boston Harbor Islands State Park. It’s about a 2-mile walk, so wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the scenic views along the way.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, start from the Quincy Center. Head south on Washington Street, then take a left onto Quincy Shore Drive. Follow Quincy Shore Drive until it turns into Hull Street. Continue straight; this will lead you directly to the entrance of Boston Harbor Islands State Park. The ride is approximately 4 miles and provides beautiful views of the coastline.
