Walking
If you are in downtown Quincy, head towards the nearest bus stop at Quincy Center Station. From there, you can take the MBTA train on the Red Line towards Alewife. Get off at the North Station stop in Boston, then transfer to the Commuter Rail towards Beverly or the Newburyport/Rockport Line. Get off at Salem Station. Once you arrive at Salem Station, exit and walk straight down Washington Street until you reach Essex Street. Turn left onto Essex Street, and you will find the Salem Athenaeum at 337 Essex St on your right.
Public Transport
From Quincy Center, board the MBTA Red Line train towards Alewife. Travel for about 20 minutes and disembark at North Station. Follow the signs to the Commuter Rail and catch a train towards Salem. The ride should take around 30 minutes. Get off at Salem Station, and from there, walk straight down Washington Street. When you reach Essex Street, make a left, and the Salem Athenaeum will be located at 337 Essex St on your right.
