If you're driving from downtown Salem, start by heading west on Washington Street toward Essex Street. Turn left onto Essex Street, then take a right onto Route 114 (also known as the North Shore Road). Follow Route 114 until you reach the junction with Route 128. Merge onto Route 128 North. Continue on Route 128 for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 14 for Route 133 East toward Gloucester. Merge onto Route 133 and follow it until it becomes Washington Street in Gloucester. Continue straight on Washington Street until you reach the Fishermen's Memorial, which will be on your left near the waterfront.

To reach the Fishermen's Memorial by public transportation from Salem, start by taking the MBTA commuter rail from Salem station. You will need to take the train heading towards Rockport or Gloucester. Get off at the Gloucester station. From the Gloucester station, you can either take a taxi or a local bus (check the Cape Ann Transportation Authority schedule) heading towards the waterfront. If you take a taxi, ask the driver to take you to the Fishermen's Memorial, which is a well-known landmark. If you take the bus, ensure you get off at the stop closest to the memorial.
