Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the South Shore area, take Route 3 North toward Boston. Merge onto I-93 North and continue for about 15 miles. Take exit 20 toward South Station. After exiting, continue on Summer Street and turn right onto Atlantic Avenue. Follow Atlantic Avenue and take a left onto State Street, then a right onto Washington Street. Finally, turn left on Boylston Street and you will find the Edgar Allan Poe Statue at the intersection with Charles Street.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, start by taking the MBTA Commuter Rail from any South Shore station (like Braintree or Weymouth) to South Station in Boston. Once you arrive at South Station, transfer to the Red Line subway and take the train towards Alewife. Get off at Park Street Station. From Park Street, exit onto Tremont Street and walk toward Boylston Street. Turn left and walk until you reach the intersection of Boylston Street and Charles Street, where the Edgar Allan Poe Statue is located.

• Car

  If you’re coming from Hingham, take Route 3A North until you reach the junction with I-93. Merge onto I-93 North and follow the same directions as above from there. This route will take you directly into downtown Boston, where you can navigate to the statue.

• Public Transportation

  From Quincy, take the MBTA Red Line from Quincy Center Station towards Alewife. Transfer at Park Street Station and follow the same walking directions as mentioned above to reach the Edgar Allan Poe Statue.
