If you are in Waltham, you can take the MBTA Commuter Rail from Waltham Station. Board the train on the Fitchburg Line heading towards Boston. After about a 20-minute ride, get off at the Yawkey Station. From there, walk east on Brookline Avenue for about 0.4 miles until you reach Park Drive. Turn left onto Park Drive, and after a short walk, you will arrive at Back Bay Fens, located at 100 Park Dr, Boston, MA 02215.

From Waltham, catch the MBTA bus #70 or #70A from the Waltham Main Street bus stop. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the Alewife Station. Transfer to the Alewife subway line and take the Alewife train towards Ashmont/Braintree. Get off at Kenmore Station. From there, walk south on Commonwealth Avenue, turn left onto Park Drive and continue straight for about 0.3 miles to reach Back Bay Fens at 100 Park Dr, Boston, MA 02215.
