Bus
From Waltham, head to the nearest bus stop and take the MBTA #504 bus towards Watertown. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the Alewife station. Transfer to the Alewife to Alewife bus towards Alewife. After about 30 minutes, get off at the South Station bus terminal. From there, walk towards Congress Street for about 10 minutes, and you will find the Boston Children's Museum at 308 Congress St, Boston, MA 02210.
Train
Make your way to the nearest commuter rail station in Waltham. Take the Fitchburg Line towards North Station. It should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station, exit and walk to the Haymarket subway station (about 10 minutes). Take the Green Line (C or E train) towards Lechmere and transfer at Park Street to the Red Line towards Ashmont/Braintree. Get off at South Station. From South Station, walk to Congress Street for about 10 minutes to reach the Boston Children's Museum at 308 Congress St, Boston, MA 02210.
Bicycle
If you're up for a ride, check out a bike rental service in Waltham. Start by heading south towards the Charles River and pick up the river path. Follow the path along the river, which will lead you towards Boston. You will need to navigate through a couple of streets to get to the South Boston Waterfront. Once you reach Congress Street, the Boston Children's Museum will be located at 308 Congress St, Boston, MA 02210.
Walking
If you prefer walking, it will be quite a long journey. From Waltham, head south towards Moody Street and then continue on Main Street. Follow Main Street until you reach the riverfront, then head east along the river through Watertown. You will eventually reach Boston. You can follow the streets leading towards South Boston Waterfront. Once you reach Congress Street, the museum will be at 308 Congress St, Boston, MA 02210.
