Public Transit
From Waltham, head to the Waltham MBTA station on Moody Street. Take the MBTA Commuter Rail on the Fitchburg Line towards North Station in Boston. Get off at the South Station. From South Station, transfer to the MBTA Red Line towards Ashmont/Braintree and get off at Quincy Center. At Quincy Center, transfer to the MBTA bus route 220 towards Scituate. The bus will take you directly to Scituate. Once you arrive at Scituate, walk towards Lighthouse Road. Follow the road until you reach 100 Lighthouse Rd, where the Scituate Lighthouse is located.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike shops in Waltham. Start by heading east on Main Street towards the Charles River. Follow the path along the river until you reach the intersection with Route 3A. Take a left onto Route 3A and continue south towards Scituate. This route is approximately 15 miles and will take you through scenic areas. Upon reaching Scituate, navigate towards Lighthouse Road, which will lead you to the Scituate Lighthouse.
Walking
For those who enjoy a long walk, start from Waltham and head south towards the Charles River. Follow the riverbank until you reach Route 3A. Continue walking south along Route 3A heading towards Scituate. This route is about 15 miles and will take you through various neighborhoods and parks. Once you arrive in Scituate, find your way to Lighthouse Road where the Scituate Lighthouse is located at 100 Lighthouse Rd.
