Getting There

From the center of Black River, head south along the main road (B9) towards the coast. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with the B103 road. Turn left onto B103 and follow it as it curves towards the southwest. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will see a sign for Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire on your right. Follow the path indicated by the sign, which will lead you to the base of the mountain. The hike to the summit will take approximately 1-2 hours, depending on your pace.

From the center of Black River, take a local bus heading towards Rivière Noire. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the stop near Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire.
