Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Chamarel, head south on the main road (Royal Road) towards the Chamarel Waterfall. Continue walking until you reach the Chamarel Waterfall viewpoint. From here, you can enjoy the stunning views and take some photos. Afterward, continue on the same road, which becomes Les Gorges Road as you approach the park. Follow Les Gorges Road for approximately 3 kilometers. You will see signs indicating the entrance to Black River Gorges Nature Park on your left. The park entrance is clearly marked, and you will be able to access several walking trails from there.

    Starting from Chamarel, walk to the nearest bus stop on Royal Road. Catch a bus heading towards Curepipe or Quatre Bornes. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at the Black River Gorges Nature Park entrance. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes.
