Walking
From the center of Chamarel village, head southeast on the main road, B9. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and small eateries. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Maconde Viewpoint. After about 20-25 minutes of walking, you will see the entrance to Maconde Viewpoint on your right side. Follow the path to reach the viewpoint.
Public Transport
At the Chamarel bus stop, take a local bus heading towards Le Morne. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Maconde Viewpoint. The journey will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you get off the bus, walk back a short distance (about 200 meters) along B9 to find the entrance to the viewpoint.
Bicycle Rental
If you've rented a bicycle in Chamarel, start from the main square and head southeast on B9. The journey to Maconde Viewpoint is about 1.5 kilometers and should take around 10-15 minutes. Follow the road signs for Maconde Viewpoint, and be cautious of any pedestrians and local traffic as you ride.
