Getting There

• Walking

  Start your journey in the center of Chamarel village. From the main road, head south towards the Chamarel Waterfall. Continue walking along the pathway that leads to the waterfall viewing area. As you pass the waterfall, keep following the trail which will take you up the hill. After approximately 20 minutes of walking, you will reach a fork in the path. Take the left path that leads you towards the Mare Longue Reservoir. Follow the signs that indicate 'Reservoir Viewpoint'. As you approach the viewpoint, you will see a small hill that provides a stunning view of the reservoir. The entire walk should take around 40-50 minutes depending on your pace.

• Guided Tour

  If you prefer a guided experience, consider joining a local tour group that offers walking tours of Chamarel. Many tours include a visit to the Reservoir Viewpoint. You can find tour information at local hotels or visitor centers in Chamarel. The guides will provide transportation from the village to the viewpoint and give insights about the area along the way. • Bicycle Rental

  For a more adventurous approach, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Chamarel. Head out from the village along the main road towards the south. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Mare Longue Reservoir. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you'll enjoy the scenic views along the way. Once you reach the reservoir area, lock your bike at the designated area and walk the last few minutes to the Reservoir Viewpoint.
